..are some of the kindest, sweetest people you will ever meet. We started working the Nanay River, since that was where most of the highest incidents of sickness and disease were to be found. We have treated pueblos where 100 % population had contracted the dreaded malaria.
The day before we got there, two babies were buried and the day we arrived I had 13 babies lying on school desks lining the walls of the building infusing life-supporting IV fluids with electrolytes and began the malaria medication and fever reducers. Of all the hundreds of guests of AMM, not one has contracted malaria that we know of.
Everyone takes a preventative before leaving the States and Praise the Lord, they are effective!
